Sited in a ravine near Greystones, this Norman castle was burned by the O'Byrne clan in 1301 and rebuilt shortly after, forming part of the medieval Rathdown manor. Very little masonry survives above ground, but the earthwork site is a designated National Monument on the coastal path.
