One of only two surviving 'hall house' style castles in Ireland, built on the slopes of Kindlestown Hill near Delgany, possibly by Walter de Bendeville. It was seized by the O'Byrne clan in 1377 after they had already burned the nearby Rathdown Castle, and its roofless walls still stand within woodland today.
