Built between 1611 and 1619 by Sir Toby Caulfield, who received 1,000 acres of confiscated Gaelic O'Donnelly land during the Plantation of Ulster, on the site of an earlier O'Donnelly fort. Substantial ruins survive today, including a rebuilt gatehouse that may reuse an original doorway.
